Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Mechanical Engineer.
Position Summary:
This individual will be responsible for the full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Understands customer requirements and delivers results that meet customer needs. Provides innovative resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope.
Essential Functions:
- Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications.Assignments have clear and specified objectives.
- Develops own resources to solve problems and provides imaginative solutions to a variety of moderately complex problems.A
- Assumes responsibility for a definable portion of a project.
- Performs research, design and development in such areas as mechanical engineering, stress analysis, casting, moulding, DFM and materials selection.
- Applies research to planning, design and development of mechanical or electro-mechanical systems, instruments and/or controls.
- Conducts feasibility studies and tests new modified designs.
- May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
Required Qualifications:
- BSc in mechanical engineering or related four (4) year technical degree Five (5) to seven (7) years of work experience involving the use of Mechanical Engineering principles and practices, as well as knowledge of typical manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of thermoplastic and thermo set materials and processes
- Proficiency in solid modeling software – SolidWorks & Ansys - and SAP preferred
- Good time management skills
- Must possess good oral/written communication skills
- Able to effectively work on project teams consisting of departmental and/or cross-functional personnel.
