Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for 3 qualified, interested and available MWS Process Engineers.
Position Summary :
Support Design Teams on the manufacturing of Products through Standardised innovative design’s of assembly equipment and tooling for our Global Manufacturing locations.
Provide a technical resource, guidance and direction for our Design Teams and Global Manufacturing locations to ensure that we produce low cost high quality products, consistently and that we achieve our first pass yield in order to meet customer demand.
Essential Functions :
• Create detailed Process Flow Diagrams – steps / tooling & equipment / resources / cycle time’s / TAKT / etc, for New and Current Products
• Create with QA / Design Process FMEA to identify High Risk / risk reduction / controls / etc for New and Current Products
• Create with QA / Design Process Control Plan and Define inspection methods
• Create Manufacturing Process Standards (MPS) which are visual and define in steps by step the Product assembly or process and highlight inspection gates and feature’s which are critical to quality (CTQ)
• • Support our Design teams and Global manufacturing locations on quality issue’s and continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and process variation.
• Evaluate and Define new equipment needs for our Global Locations with the view to reducing cost, waste or improving product quality and first pass yield
• Design / Development and Manufacture of Assembly tooling to be supplied to our Global Locations to ensure consistency in our Manufacturing Process
• Provide technical support to inter-functional teams dealing with product design, manufacturing process, process yields, maintenance and quality
• Create / Update Project Plans and Task Activities to management on a regular basis
• Support our Global Locations on the reporting and analysis of process data from our Critical to quality we site
• Create Cost Analysis Comparisons and Justification for Capital Expenditure
• Run reports / analysis of products / process’s from our Business System SAP
Required Qualifications :
• Engineering Degree
• Experience in the following :
Lean Principles
6 Sigma
SMED
DFMA
Microsoft Project
Solid works / Autocad
Microsoft office – Outlook / Excel / Word / PowerPoint / etc
SAP
20% - 30% travel
• Requires prioritization and timely completion on a wide variety of tasks and projects.
• Able to function independently and exercise judgement in order to react to situations in a timely manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in one of the below Specific Fields :
• Casting Process – Tool design for Sand / Low and High
• Material Forming – Pressing / Spinning
• Material Fabrication – Stamping / Punching / Welding
• Material Finishing Process – Chemicals / Tank Chemistry / Control / Waste
• Powder and Wet Painting Process
