ION™-M Series

Triband remote

Minimaster
ION-M Series (formerly MMR) is a robust high power-density optical fiber distributed antenna system (FDAS) that offers outstanding performance in both indoor and outdoor environments. Typical applications range from coverage of the central business districts to underground rail coverage, and high rise coverage.
Features of the ION-M Series:
- Bidirectional amplification of signals between multiple mobiles and the base station
- Compact, sealed remote units rated to IP67 require no additional housing or special treatment for outdoor use
- Standard WDM (one fiber per remote) and optional CWDM (one fiber for multiple remotes)
- Configurable for point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and network redundancy
- Wide bandwidth - 380 to 2500 MHz
- Centralized and flexible radio network interface
- 802.11 WLAN compatible
- Alarming via three protocols: SMNP interfaces for X.733, SMS, or dry contact alarming
- System transports multiple carriers, multiple technologies, and multiple frequencies simultaneously
- A.I.M.O.S.-compatible OMC via circuit switch or packet data
Components:
- Master Unit: Interfaces to the base station via RF cables, to remote units via optical fiber, and to the network management (A.I.M.O.S.) via a wireless modem
Modular to support any configuration up to 124 optical links to remote units
Easily changes from single-band/single-user system to multiband/multiuser - Remote units: Available as single band, dual band, or multiband configurations
Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
Andrew's Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) provides high quality ac power for electronic equipment loads, especially for outside repeater systems.
- Continuity of electrical power for at least 20 minutes up to 8 hours, within the defined limits and without interruption, when commercial ac source fails or degrades from overload, surges, or spikes
- Hot swap battery replacement for easy, fast maintenance
Battery Backup Units
Low capacity batteries (BBU) operate controller and modem only for at least 10 minutes or provide UPS autonomy of 20+ minutes to 8+ hours. The BBU is standard on Node Series and optional on MR Series. UPS is optional on all series.
